This is the seal of the Burgh in which Robert Anderson Dunsire was to take his first steps. Earlier in the 19th Century, Buckhaven had been a significant fishing port on the east coast of Scotland. Slowly, but surely, King Coal was establishing itself along with the major Docks development in Methil.
The immediate future prospects for a newly born Robert and his family looked very positive.
